A broken patio or slab can be costly!
With Colorado's notoriously expansive soil, patios and slabs easily begin to crack and sink. Before they know it, homeowners end up dealing with issues much bigger than they first expected.
Trips & Falls
Those who visit may stumble over the uneven patio concrete or their chair may be off-balance, causing them to fall backward.
Fractures & Injuries
Falling on uneven patios can result in fractures and injuries to various parts of the body. This could possibly lead to lawsuits.
Water Damage
Water seeping through the broken pieces near your house may begin collecting against the foundation. This could weaken the foundation and cause it to crack.
But don't worry - with a free assessment, TK Concrete Lifting can show you just how easy it is to fix your damaged patio and eliminate these problems for good!
About Travis.
Hi there. My name is Travis Knepp, and I own and operate TK Concrete Lifting. When I bought my house in Cañon City, Colorado, I discovered how difficult it can be to host an outdoor party for guests when our patio concrete had sunken. I could have simply replaced the sunken concrete, but that would have been a lot of work and cost a lot more money. Polyurethane foam is far easier and a much cheaper way to repair sidewalks.

At TK Concrete Lifting, we know Cañon City homeowners want to repair their damaged patios and slabs and create enjoyable hosting space.
Unfortunately, most of the properties in Cañon City have sandy soil. This tends to cause concrete patios to crack and sink. It's not fun having a party on a patio that isn't level, and you feel nervous about guests tripping and falling.
After buying my house with sunken concrete, I too was afraid of liability. By using polyurethane foam to repair your patio or slab, you can be confident you won't have any tripping or injuries due to uneven surfaces.
Backyard patios offer numerous benefits for homeowners. They provide a space for outdoor living, dining, and entertaining, allowing homeowners to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful surroundings of their backyard. Patios can be designed to suit any style or budget, with various options such as concrete, brick, stone, or pavers.
Additionally, patios increase the value of a property and can make it more attractive to potential buyers. They also require minimal maintenance and are a long-lasting investment, providing a durable surface for years to come. Most importantly, having a backyard patio encourages spending more time outside and can improve overall well-being by reducing stress and improving mood.
However, concrete patios in Cañon City tend to eventually sink or break apart due to the expansive soil. A sinking concrete patio can be hazardous, leading to tripping or falling accidents. This can also cause water to pool, leading to potential water damage and compromising the structural integrity of the patio.
That's why TK Concrete Lifting provides a fast and cost-effective solution for repairing sunken concrete patios.
Using polyurethane foam injection, they can lift the concrete back into place with minimal disruption to the surrounding area. The foam also serves as a soil stabilizer, creating a solid foundation that helps prevent future sinking. This method is less invasive and less time-consuming than traditional concrete replacement, and can often be completed within a few hours.
As a skilled technician, Travis Knepp with TK Concrete Lifting ensures that the repair is done correctly and to the highest standards, providing homeowners with a durable and long-lasting solution that restores the safety and beauty of their patio.
So, say goodbye to your ugly concrete patio or slab and its pesky trip hazards. Work with TK Concrete Lifting and create the best hang-out spot on the black!
Patio & Slab repair FAQs
First, identify what type of repair is needed. If the slab has sunken, polyurethane foam can be used to lift and level it again by injecting the foam beneath the slab, known as foam jacking. The foam expands to level the slab, providing a cost-effective solution for settling or sinking. However, it is not suitable for structural damage.
If the corner of a concrete slab has sunk, using a polyurethane foam injection is an effective solution to lift and level it back into place. However, if the corner is broken, a concrete bonding agent will need to be applied before filling it with concrete mix.
To determine whether to repair or replace a concrete slab, evaluate the extent of the damage. Minor cracks or surface spalling can be repaired, but extensive damage, such as large cracks, deep fissures, or significant settling, may require replacement to ensure long-term durability and safety. However, even most settling can be repaired simply by lifting the sunken portion of slab back into place with polyurethane foam. A small hole is drilled through the concrete, and a special foam is injected beneath the slab to lift and level it. The foam cures quickly, and the sidewalk can be used immediately. There are three options to repair a cracked concrete patio.
- If this damage is crumbling concrete, remove debris and broken concrete, clean the area, and patch it with concrete mix.
- If the damage is cracked and uneven concrete, lift uneven concrete into place with polyurethane foam.
- If the damage is too extensive, completely replace the patio for a long-lasting solution.
The cost to fix a sinking patio varies depending on the extent of the damage. TK Concrete Lifting offers a free assessment to provide an estimate concerning your specific situation. Click here to schedule your free assessment today!
